Weekly Reminders Sept. 11th

Dear École Varennes Families,

As we wrap up our second week of school, we want to thank you for your continued support and engagementIt’s been a busy and exciting week filled with learning, connection, and community-building. Below are some important updates and reminders:

Changing Weather

As temperatures begin to drop and the weather begins to changewe ask that you familiarize yourself with cold weather procedures and expectations (please see attached letter). Ensuring students are dressed appropriately for the season is essential for their comfort and safety. Please note that we also play outside in light rain. Please ensure that your child has access to rain boots, a raincoat or umbrella. A change of pants or socks may be a good idea!

While we do have crossing guards at the beginning and end of the dayit has been brought to our attention that several vehicles have been observed running red lights near the school. We kindly ask all families to exercise extra caution when crossing the street, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. Safety is a shared responsibility, and your vigilance helps keep our students safe. A reminder that pick up and drop off of students happens on Varennes Avenue. Families are asked to remain in the vehicle to drop off and exit the lot when done to avoid additional congestion. No vehicles dropping off students shall access the North staff parking lot at any time. NO PICKUP OR DROP OFF OF STUDENTS IS PERMITTED IN THE BACK LANES ADJACENT TO THE SCHOOL.
