Principal's Log - Stars Date September 29th, 2025
Hello all!
I hope you are enjoying the fantastic fall temperatures and getting outside as much as possible.
Hopefully, you have noticed the new trees planted in the front of the school. Thanks to the efforts of our wonderful neighbour Mr. Waters, who wrote a successful grant application, we now have the beginnings of some lovely new greenery for our school and street. We are so fortunate to have such an amazing community.
Please note this is a different week, with no school tomorrow for the very important National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We have been involved in activities, awareness, and learning and will continue to do so. Our community Orange Shirt Day Walk will be today at 2:30pm.
On Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 – there is also no school as all employees in 91̽»¨app engage in further Treaty Education professional development. Regular classes resume on Thursday, Oct 2nd.
Next, a gentle reminder that if students arrive late for school they are to report to the office. Parents / Guardians can drop them off at the office but are asked to refrain from moving throughout the school to classrooms. We make the same request for regular drop-off and pick-ups at the end of the day. Parents / Guardians are to meet their children outside at their designated doors. If special arrangements need to be made on certain days, please call the office so we can assist. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Have a reflective and wonderful week!

Safe Arrival
We’re excited to share that all schools in the 91̽»¨app will be using Safe Arrival, a new system that makes reporting student absences easier and faster. You will need to download the app and authenticate your account. This may take a bit of time at first but will make reporting absences much smoother in the long run.

Staff Parking Lot
Once again, I ask all parents and care givers to please refrain from parking, entering and conducting student drop-offs in the Staff Parking lot. We have Educational Assistants on different start times, with some beginning their shift @ 8:30am, some 8:45am and others 9:00am. These are paid spots and need to be accessible at all times. Please carefully conduct student drop-offs on Pinedale and / or Birchdale. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
