Remembrance Day and Indigenous Veterans Day

Remembrance Day and Indigenous Veterans Day Assembly will be held on November 7th 2:30-3:30 PM. Caregivers are welcome to attend. On November 7th, we will also honour a school wide moment of silence at 11 AM.

 

PAC NEWS

NMC's Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meets most months at 7 p.m. on the same day as the monthly Tuesday early dismissal days. The committee is a great way to find out about everything that is happening at the school and to ask questions to school staff.  Many people don't realize that NMC's PAC is advisory only, which means that  there are no fundraisers to organize! All meetings last no more than 1 hour.  Come on out to the next meeting on November 26 to see what it's all about!

 

CAFETERIA

Cutlery and dishes are disappearing from the cafeteria. We ask that students please check backpacks, lockers and home for any cutlery or dishes that belong in the cafeteria and return them. Staff and students, please keep a lookout around the school and return to the cafeteria.

 

Smudge Opportunity: NMC will be offering regular Smudge Opportunities. We ask students to please indicate your interest in this opportunity by completing the survey: 

 

School and Grad Wear – DEADLINE SUNDAY

NMC school wear and 2025 Grad Wear is now on Sale! Visit the link to place your order. The deadline to order is November 3rd to ensure delivery prior to the winter break. No orders will be accepted after this date.

CRAFTING CONNECTIONS

Thursday October 30, 1:30-3:30

Parents and caregivers are invited to the NMC Community Space

We will be joined by our divisional grandmother, Kookum Hilda.

"Crafting Connections" will start off with a beading circle. Supplies, coffee and snacks provided. No experience required.

 

POWWOW CLUB

Wednesday, October 30, 6:00-7:30

Lavallee School, 505 St. Anne's Road

Parents, caregivers and students are invited to attend. Students will participate in dancing and/or drumming and parents and caregivers are invited to stay for snacks and teachings from Kookum Hilda.
