Return to School Information - 2025-2026

Hello Victor Mager Families,

We are very excited to welcome our students back to Victor Mager School for the 2025-2026 school year!

Below you will find important information for the beginning of the school year for your child/ren. Please note that Opening Day Conferences will take place on Wednesday, September 3 and the first full day of school will be Thursday, September 4. Kindergarten students will have a staggered entry to school and Kindergarten Families were provided with this information in June.  

School Hours:    Morning Bell Time:     8:47 AM       Class Start: 8:57 AM     Morning Dismissal:    11:45 AM

                              Afternoon Bell Time: 12:40 PM      Class Start: 12:45 PM   Afternoon Dismissal:    3:30 PM

Student Entrance/Exit

  • All students will have a specified entrance/exit that they will use daily.
  • Students are asked to remain outside of the school until the entry bell rings.
  • Caregivers are asked to meet their child/ren outside of the school at dismissal times.

Opening Day Conferences

  • An opportunity for you and your child to come to the school and meet their teacher!
  • To be held on Wednesday, September 3, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All conferences will take place in person and are scheduled for 15 minutes. There is a staff dinner break scheduled for 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.
  • The Conference Manager System will be used to book conferences and will open on August 25 at 6:00 a.m. and will close on Wednesday, September 3 at 8:00 a.m.

Lunch Program

  • All K-8 students are welcome to stay for a supervised lunch. Caregivers are responsible for sending their child with a lunch. Please note that microwaves will not be available.
  • More information about Lunch Program Supervision fees and registration will be sent home in the first few weeks of school. Students may begin staying for lunch on Thursday, September 4.

Student Fees/Supplies

  • School fees will once again be set at $40.00 per student for the 2025-2026 school year. These fees will be posted in the Parent Portal.
  • These fees will be used by the school to purchase supplies for our students. You do not need to buy school supplies. 
  • Please ensure that your child has a backpack, indoor running shoes, and a water bottle.

Walking School Bus – Kindergarten to Grade 4

  • We will continue to offer the opportunity for Kindergarten to Grade 4 students to walk to and from school with the supervision of school staff. More information about registration for Walking School Bus will come home in the first couple of weeks of school. 
  • The Walking School bus will not begin until September 17.
