Hatching Chicks in Grade Two!
Students in our grades 2 and 2/3 classes have been studying various life cycles in science. Students learned about the life cycle of a chicken. They are so lucky to have our teacher librarian Madame Kathleen provide eggs and her incubator to help them to learn about the process firsthand. Students saw the early development through a special light, learned about the parts of an egg, and participated in related science experiments. They have been using their classroom calendars to count down and observe the changes happening during this 21day cycle. They are so excited to see the chicks hatch to create one of their favourite memories of grade two!
